Our Mission                                                                                                            Baby's Space at Little Earth

Poverty puts babies at risk.

Early childhood is a critical time for children’s development and can strongly influence the architecture of their brain and set the foundation for self-sufficiency, emotional health, and life success. Chronic, toxic stressors that occur in neighborhoods of poverty and violence weaken the hardwiring of the brain’s most important areas for successful learning and behavior in school.

Putting the baby’s point of view at the center of full-service childhood development programming, Baby’s Space engenders successful children, healthier families, and transforms neighborhoods of poverty. Our mission, with our baby-centered approach, is to graduate children (and families) who are healthy, compassionate, well-adjusted, prepared, educated, and contributors to thriving neighborhoods.
